ITG Brands marks 10th anniversary with support for Puerto Rico, DR

Hogar Nueva Mujer, founded in 1990, is a nonprofit organization in Puerto Rico dedicated to eradicating family violence through services that promote safety, education, empowerment and self-sufficiency.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, ITG Brands has expanded its community outreach in the Caribbean with charitable donations in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

As part of its “10 Days of Celebration” campaign, the company awarded $25,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations selected by employees in the United States and Caribbean, including Hogar Nueva Mujer in Cayey and Escuela Vocacional La Romana in the Dominican Republic.

In a statement, ITG Brands CEO Kim Reed described the contributions as part of the company’s efforts to “give back to organizations that share our commitment to service, resilience and positive change.”

The grant to Hogar Nueva Mujer will support services for survivors of domestic violence and their families, while the funds awarded to Escuela Vocacional La Romana will help expand technical and vocational training for youth in the Dominican Republic.

Company officials said the grants reflect ITG Brands’ ongoing commitment to the communities it serves. Founded in 2015, the company is the third-largest tobacco manufacturer in the United States and maintains operations and partnerships in the Caribbean.

“We’ve come a long way, thanks to the hard work of our people, the strength of our partnerships and the trust of the communities we serve,” Reed said. “This anniversary isn’t just a reflection of where we’ve been — it’s a celebration of what is possible in the years ahead.”
