The 22nd edition of “La Movida del Verano” (“The Summer Move”) has launched at the Plaza Las Américas shopping center, marking the start of the summer season with a display of vehicles, technology and family-friendly activities.

Presented by Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples de Puerto Rico, the event features a curated lineup of SUVs, sports cars, family vehicles, motorcycles and marine engines.

Mayra E. Flores, the insurer’s vice president of sales, reaffirmed the company’s support for the local auto sector and introduced an eco-conscious segment within the event’s pavilion. Featured vehicles include the Mayagüez-based Solar Ecotaxi, the fully electric Mitsubishi i-Miev and the plug-in hybrid Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle).

“We believe that building a country also means educating, protecting and serving, including moving efficiently without compromising the planet,” Flores said.

Bella Group is debuting the redesigned Honda Passport 2026, the Mazda CX-70 Plug-In Hybrid, and a wide range of motorcycles and energy products in its Flagship Power Zone, including Yoshino solar batteries and Honda inverter generators.

The showcase includes models from Chevrolet, Honda, Kia, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, selected for style, performance and safety. For auto enthusiasts, the Motor Show booth led by car commentator Andrés O’Neill is displaying two rare collectibles: a 1991 Honda Beat and a 1989 Alfa Romeo Spider.

Adding a local touch, Mercedes-Benz is featuring one of its newest models styled in the colors of a historic Ponce fire truck.

“La Movida del Verano” runs through June 1, offering a summer kickoff with what organizers describe as “innovation, nostalgia and entertainment for all ages.”
