La Quinta Nube wins $5K at Jump All In! DemoDay
La Quinta Nube, a naturally fermented ginger beer produced and canned in Puerto Rico, won Jump All In!’s first DemoDay, securing the $5,000 prize awarded by Banco Popular.
The event, held Dec. 9 at the Foundation for Puerto Rico’s Colaboratorio, brought together attendees and members of the program’s alumni community to hear pitches from eight culinary ventures.
The participating concepts were El Argentino, Guarapo, La Casa de las Barquillas Cruz, Pastelillos Lamboy, MiniBig, Manifesto Mocktail and Coffee Bar, Tónica and the winning presentation, La Quinta Nube. Judges evaluated each pitch and selected La Quinta Nube for the award.
Cristina Sumaza, the program’s executive director, said the inaugural DemoDay marked an important moment for the initiative.
“This DemoDay is much more than a competitive event; it’s a milestone for our program,” she said. “Seeing these eight concepts present their businesses with confidence, backed by a community that understands their challenges, is exactly what drives us as a team.”
Jump All In! supports culinary entrepreneurs through education, mentorship and partnerships designed to strengthen the island’s food-related businesses.
“We firmly believe in the power of culinary entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth and cultural identity in Puerto Rico,” said Beatriz Polhamus, first vice president of Popular’s Social Impact Division. “This award represents far more than economic incentive: it is a vote of confidence in the talent and future of our entrepreneurs.”
The program is now accepting applications for its seventh cohort, which begins in January. Applicants must have experience in the culinary industry, an authentic food concept with sales or a defined business idea. The application period runs through Dec. 17, 2025.
