Liberty adds 47 Boost retailers as part of expansion
Liberty Puerto Rico has added 47 authorized retailers to its network following Boost Mobile’s decision to leave the Puerto Rico market by Dec. 31.
The new retailers expand Liberty’s islandwide presence and strengthen service access for prepaid mobile customers, the company said.
“We’re pleased to welcome 47 authorized retailers to our Liberty family,” said Quique Vivas, Liberty’s chief consumer officer. “With them on board, Boost customers transferring to us will be able to experience all the benefits Liberty offers.”
Boost Mobile customers are encouraged to visit Boost or Liberty stores to port their numbers and transfer service before the Dec. 31 deadline. Those who do not switch before that date risk losing both service and their existing phone number.
To facilitate the transition, Liberty is offering incentives, including one free month of service on plans with up to 100 gigabytes of data and device discounts of up to $400 through Dec. 31.
The company has also launched a sweepstakes titled “Anota un touchdown cambiándote a Liberty” (“Score a touchdown by switching to Liberty”), offering weekly $5,000 prizes and a “VIP” experience for two to attend a major football event.
Initially, the new Liberty locations will offer prepaid mobile services, with plans to expand into broadband and television bundles in 2026.
