Mitsubishi adds Toñito Auto Canóvanas dealership
Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Caribbean has added Toñito Auto Canóvanas to its dealer network, expanding Mitsubishi Motors’ presence in Puerto Rico to 21 dealerships, the company announced.
The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony in early December. Company officials described the move as part of a broader strategy to strengthen Mitsubishi’s footprint on the island and improve customer access to vehicles and services.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Toñito Auto Canóvanas as the newest member of the Mitsubishi Motors family,” said Akitoshi Ogawa, CEO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Caribbean. “This new partnership is a key step in expanding Mitsubishi Motors’ presence and improving customer accessibility throughout the region.”
The dealership is located along PR-3 at kilometer 19.9 in Canóvanas. It will offer Mitsubishi’s full vehicle lineup, including the Outlander Plug-In Hybrid EV, Outlander, Eclipse Cross, Outlander Sport and Mirage. The location will also provide certified maintenance and repair services, along with genuine Mitsubishi parts and accessories.
Mitsubishi officials said the partnership builds on Toñito Auto’s experience in the local automotive market and its customer service record at its Guaynabo dealership.
“Toñito Auto’s commitment to excellence in customer service, demonstrated at its La Muda dealership in Guaynabo, along with its automotive expertise and dedication to the Mitsubishi brand, perfectly aligns with our business vision,” Ogawa said. “This partnership will allow us to reach more customers and provide them with the experience they expect from Mitsubishi.”
Under the agreement, Toñito Auto Canóvanas will operate under Mitsubishi’s brand standards and values, including innovation, reliability and customer focus, according to the company.
Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Caribbean said the addition of the Canóvanas location reflects its continued growth strategy and its focus on strengthening the customer experience throughout Puerto Rico.
