Oriental debuts new SME banking platform and services

Oriental Bank announced the launch of a new suite of services under its “Hablemos de tu negocio: Oriental Biz” (“Let’s talk about your business: Oriental Biz”) campaign, aimed at addressing the needs of small and medium-sized businesses in Puerto Rico.
The bank said the initiative combines 24/7 personalized support, simplified digital tools and advanced fraud prevention features.
“We know that business never stops, and neither do we. Our new approach is designed to transform the SME market, providing complete transparency to those who trust us,” said Mari Evelyn Rodríguez, Oriental’s chief retail banking officer. “We redefine what it means to support entrepreneurs, simplifying our services and packages so they can make decisions with confidence and choose the solutions that truly drive their business.”
Oriental now offers what it said is Puerto Rico’s only 24/7 helpline for small businesses, at 787-620-PYME (7963), providing help at any time regardless of a company’s stage of growth.
The bank also unveiled its redesigned Oriental Cash Management platform with three packages: Essential ($5 per month), for small businesses seeking efficiency; Preferred ($20 per month), for growing companies needing greater control; and Prime ($45 per month), for complex businesses with multiple payment channels and security requirements.
All packages include fraud protection tools such as Premium Alerts, Reverse Positive Pay, Positive Pay and ACH Positive Pay. The features allow businesses to monitor debits, deposits and electronic transactions in real time while blocking potentially fraudulent activity.
Additional benefits include the “My Biz” checking account with no maintenance fee for balances of more than $500, as well as online access to credit facilities and transfers within a single platform.
“These features empower business owners to operate with confidence, knowing their finances are protected at all times,” Rodríguez said.
