Popular Risk launches Medicare Advantage pilot at Banco Popular branches

Popular Risk Services LLC has launched a pilot program to help consumers in Puerto Rico navigate Medicare Advantage health plan options offered by three insurers approved on the island — MCS, MMM and Triple-S.
The program offers in-person assistance at 15 Banco Popular de Puerto Rico branches, where trained representatives from Popular Risk Services will be available to explain plan benefits and answer questions.
Participating locations include branches in Mayagüez Suau, Mayagüez Mall, Cabo Rojo, Guayama Mall, Plaza del Caribe in Ponce, Yauco Plaza, Manatí, Bayamón Center, San Patricio Gallery, Altamira in Guaynabo, Campo Rico in Carolina, Señorial Center in San Juan, Plaza Los Prados in Caguas, Cayey Montellano and Canóvanas Outlet.
“Our commitment is to provide solutions that adapt to our clients’ needs at every stage of their lives,” said Javier Rodríguez, president of Popular Risk Services. “After a detailed analysis, we identified our clients’ need for guidance on the considerations and options available when choosing health insurance coverage.”
Rodríguez said the program gives customers “the opportunity to receive guidance in an efficient and affordable manner.”
Medicare Advantage plans provide an alternative to traditional Medicare, offering the same Part A and Part B coverage, often with additional benefits such as prescription drug coverage.
Popular Risk Services said the program will expand to additional branches in the coming months.
