PrizePicks obtains gaming licenses in Puerto Rico, Maine

Daily fantasy sports platform PrizePicks has obtained gaming licenses in Puerto Rico and Maine, expanding its regulated operations to 47 jurisdictions across the United States.
The company is the first fantasy sports operator to be licensed in Puerto Rico. It plans to launch fantasy contests on the island in the coming months. Its product, Arena, is already live in Maine.
“We’re grateful to the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission and the Maine Gambling Control Unit for their partnership and support throughout the licensure process,” said Adam Packer, senior vice president of legal and compliance at PrizePicks.
“We’ve seen tremendous engagement with Arena across the country, and we’re confident that momentum will carry into these new jurisdictions,” he said.
As it grows, the company has emphasized a focus on Responsible Gaming. In 2025, it became the first and only fantasy sports operator to receive iCAP accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling for its Responsible Gaming practices.
Based in North America, PrizePicks describes itself as the largest operator in the daily fantasy sports market, citing continued growth through regulatory expansion and product development.
