Puerto Rico joins LatAm public relations summit in Honduras

Karen Garnik, CEO of Global Vision Marketing & Communications, will represent Puerto Rico at the 5th Latin American Public Relations Summit in Honduras.

Puerto Rico will take part in the 5th Latin American Summit on Public Relations and Strategic Communication, scheduled for Sept. 25–26 at the University of San Pedro Sula in Honduras.

Organized by the Ibero-American Network of Public Relations Professionals (RedIRP, in Spanish) with the Latin American Institute of Strategic Communication and other partners, the event will focus on “Public Relations 360: Emotional Connection in the Digital Era.”

The program will feature more than 25 experts from across Ibero-America specializing in digital marketing, public relations, strategic communication, artificial intelligence and tourism.

Karen Garnik, CEO of Global Vision Marketing & Communications and former president of the Puerto Rico Public Relations Association, will represent Puerto Rico. Garnik helped create an alliance with RedIRP in 2020 that enabled the island to join regional initiatives.

Her presentation, “Connections that Nurture: 360º Public Relations for Purpose-Driven Brands,” will address corporate social responsibility and the importance of community relations.

“I’m honored to represent Puerto Rico at this important summit and to contribute to the Ibero-American conversation about the transformative role of public relations,” Garnik said. “I’m convinced that when brands connect with purpose and commit to their communities, they build genuine and sustainable relationships that create shared value.”

RedIRP President Antonio Di Génova said the summit provides a platform for networking and regional collaboration.

The event will take place at the Jorge Emilio Jaar Auditorium and will also be available virtually for public relations professionals.
