Puerto Rico Tourism Co. launches ‘Look for the Seal’ campaign
The Puerto Rico Tourism Co. has launched an educational campaign titled “Busca el sello y viaja confiado” (“Look for the seal and travel with confidence”) to encourage travelers to use the services of certified travel agencies and wholesalers.
The campaign highlights that official certification guarantees professionalism, consumer protection and compliance with tourism regulations.
“We continue to promote initiatives that protect consumers and foster excellence in tourism services,” said Tourism Co. Executive Director Willianette Robles-Cancel. “Trusting a certified agency means traveling with support, experience and security, protecting both the consumer and the reputation of our industry.”
Agency officials said the campaign responds to unfair competition from unauthorized agencies and online platforms, as well as limited public awareness of certification benefits.
According to the Tourism Co., more than 150 travel agencies and 35 wholesale agencies are currently certified under the agency’s standards. The campaign, which uses traditional and digital media, also includes outdoor signage, audiovisual materials and information displayed at airports and tourist attractions.
“This initiative is part of the Tourism Co.’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public confidence and promote responsible tourism,” Robles-Cancel said. “It reaffirms our commitment to the sustainable development of the industry and the public policy of the Government of Puerto Rico.”
