RCMDO Architects has opened new headquarters at 316 José de Diego Ave. in Santurce after investing $800,000 in a 3,600-square-foot office.

The space includes collaborative areas and technology designed to support interdisciplinary work. The firm has added four employees as part of the move, bringing its total staff to 17.

“This new space is the culmination of years of sustained growth and the beginning of an even more ambitious chapter for our firm,” said Rafael Castro-Montes de Oca, president and founder of RCMDO Architects. “It represents our commitment to Puerto Rico, to our clients and to excellence in architectural practice.”

He added, “Every project we develop is an opportunity to transform realities. This new office in Santurce embodies our vision of the future: an open, innovative and collaborative space that places design at the service of people and the island.”

RCMDO’s portfolio spans hospitality, health care, finance and technology projects, including work at the historic Cuartel de Ballajá.

“Establishing ourselves in Santurce allows us to connect directly with the cultural pulse of the city,” said Isabel García-Luengo, the firm’s director of business development and logistics. “We want our presence here to be part of the creative and economic ecosystem that strengthens both the community and the island.”
