Riko’s Limonada wins top honors at Lemonade Day Puerto Rico 2025

Lemonade Day Puerto Rico celebrated the success of its seventh edition with more than 1,400 children across the island gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship. During a recognition event at the Popular Center in Hato Rey, organizers announced the winners of this year’s competitions, including the top prize for Entrepreneur of the Year.
First place went to siblings Dereck, Keniel and Keyvliannie “Annie” Lagares, owners of Riko’s Limonada in San Juan. The trio also earned first place in the Elevator Pitch contest and will represent Puerto Rico in the national Lemonade Day competition.
“This year more than 1,400 young people between the ages of 6 and 12 received the Lemonade Day lessons with the support of 400 volunteer mentors,” said Natalia Subirá, director of Lemonade Day Puerto Rico. “We’re filled with hope by their great sense of commitment to the young entrepreneurs.”
Since its launch in 2019, Lemonade Day Puerto Rico has reached more than 9,300 students with the help of more than 3,670 mentors. Total reported sales during this year’s program reached $30,295.53. Of the participants, 92% reported saving a portion of their earnings and 84% chose to share their profits.
Through competitions in logo design, stand presentation and elevator pitch, Lemonade Day promotes skills in business planning, financial literacy and leadership.
