Ross Dress for Less opens first Puerto Rico stores in 3 towns

Ross Stores Inc. has officially entered the Puerto Rico market with the opening of its first three Ross Dress for Less locations over the weekend.

The new stores, located in Carolina’s Los Colobos Shopping Center, Caguas’ Plaza Centro, and Guayama’s Céntrico Mall, bring the popular off-price retailer’s signature savings and brand-name offerings to local shoppers.

Each store spans between 20,000 and 24,000 square feet and features a wide selection of apparel, footwear, home décor, and accessories tailored to the local market. Store hours run Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and extend to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The expansion into Puerto Rico has created more than 300 jobs across part-time and full-time positions, including roles in customer service, supervision, and management. To celebrate the grand opening, each location hosted ribbon-cutting ceremonies with live music, food, and drinks for the community.

In line with its corporate commitment to community engagement, Ross also announced a charitable donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico to support youth development programs on the island.

“We’re excited to launch the Ross concept in Puerto Rico across three different cities,” said Jim Conroy, CEO of Ross Stores. “We look forward to a bright future serving our new customers.”

Ross is the largest off-price retail chain in the U.S., and the Puerto Rico openings represent a strategic step in its ongoing growth plans, it stated.
