Sky Caterers earns perfect Delta audit scores in Caribbean

Sky Caterers’ in-flight kitchens at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico and Las Américas International Airport in the Dominican Republic received the highest possible rating in Delta Air Lines’ latest food safety and quality audits, the company said.
Both operations earned perfect scores of 100% in Food Processing Quality and Food Processing Safety.
“Delta is extremely rigorous in its audits, and we managed to meet, and even exceed, all established parameters. This achievement is a source of great pride for all our kitchen employees in both countries,” said Augusto Del Valle, corporate director of catering for the Caribbean at Sky Caterers.
The audits, conducted by international firm Medina Quality on behalf of Delta, assessed compliance with guidelines covering product specifications, packaging integrity, traceability, hygiene, sanitation and allergen control.
The evaluation also included tours of operational areas, staff interviews and reviews of detailed records such as temperature logs and cleaning checklists.
“The final report reflected impeccable performance: 100% in Food Processing Quality and 100% in Food Processing Safety,” said Ada Torres, director of operations at Las Américas Airport. “This confirms the strength of our management system and our team’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence and food safety.”
Del Valle added that the recognition highlights efficient management and planning aligned with airline industry standards, ensuring satisfaction for customers and passengers in both markets.
