José Durán, one of Medical Card System Inc.’s founding partners, has been appointed president of its MCS Life Insurance Co. division. He has been assigned the responsibility of overseeing and strengthening the division’s growth this year, MCS CEO Jim O’Drobinak announced Wednesday.
The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau announced Wednesday the appointment of Neil J. Mullanaphy as its new senior vice president of sales, effective this week. The Rutgers University graduate will be based in Washington, D.C., from where he will oversee the organization’s long-term selling strategies, as well as manage and supervise the Bureau’s sales team.
To the apparent relief of a coalition of the island’s major telecommunications companies, Senate President Thomas Rivera Schatz intervened Thursday with the apparently “fast-tracked” confirmation process of Gloria Escudero Morales’ nomination as associate member of the Telecommunications Regulatory Board.
