New car sales in Puerto Rico reached 8,105 units in April, representing a 37.3 percent increase over the 5,903 units sold during the same month last year, the United Group of Automobile Importers confirmed.
As part of its efforts to contribute to the island’s recovery after Hurricane María, Ford Puerto Rico established an alliance with Reliable Auto to make buying new Ford models more accessible.
The United Group of Automobile Importers, known as GUIA for its initials in Spanish, announced there were 6,947 new cars sold in Puerto Rico last month, representing a 2.9 percent increase from the same month last year, and a 4.6 percent jump over June’s results.
