Interest in the Novotrén commuter train connecting Caguas to San Juan is apparently strong enough that more than half a dozen firms are waiting in the wings to participate in the bidding process for the project whose cost is estimated at $400 million.
The INOVA Incubation Program in Caguas recently marked its fifth anniversary with the “graduation” of the first companies born there, which so far have created 200 direct and 400 indirect jobs. The program also celebrated the national recognition given to one of its resident companies by the National Business Incubation Association, a first for Puerto Rico.
In an effort to promote education and foster technological advancement for residents of the Municipality of Caguas, the Telecommunications Regulatory Board and the municipal government officially opened Wednesday the town’s first community center with free Internet access.
