Bacardí Corp., a part of the largest privately held spirits company in the world, this week hosted a visit by executives from its U.S. mainland distribution team of Southern Wine & Spirits and Glazer’s Inc. who toured the company’s 127-acre campus in Cataño, officials said Wednesday.
UPS Puerto Rico, with support from The UPS Foundation, recently organized a reforestation initiative at the Esperanza Park in Cataño. UPS employees and their families joined forces to participate in this initiative, motivated by the interest of contributing to the preservation of nature and creating a better environment.
Some 600 members representing several generations of the Bacardí family gathered at the Cataño distillery to mark the rummaker’s 150th anniversary late last week as part of the global celebrations taking place this year.
