The governor made several requests to lawmakers, all of which the island’s government expects to be addressed before the end of the current session.
Gov. Ricardo Rosselló sent a letter Congressman Rob Bishop (R-Utah) in which he urged the lawmaker to “adopt a balanced approach” that considers all stakeholders in Puerto Rico and not just the concerns of the bondholders.
The first week of April will be critical to the future of Puerto Rico’s healthcare system as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will rule over numerous requests for improved treatment in the funding for Medicare Advantage programs on the island, the Medicare Advantage Products Association of Puerto Rico said.
