Regional carrier Cape Air is moving forward with its growth in the Caribbean with the start of new service between the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan and the island municipality of Culebra, and between the airport and Virgin Gorda this week.
Airport improvements and additional air connections are in the offing for Puerto Rico's sister island Culebra, whose beautiful and uncluttered beaches set amid an unspoiled environment make it a popular tourist destination.
Ferry service between Puerto Rico and its island municipalities of Vieques and Culebra could be be significantly cut back starting in January, because the government has apparently decided not to renew its contract with private operator Puerto Rico Fast Ferries, this media outlet learned Wednesday.
