The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, will increase the number of agents in Puerto Rico and other jurisdictions by hiring a total of 2,000 additional agents, Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration Executive Director Juan E. Hernández announced.

The announcement was made at the Cyril E. King Airport in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
