Fourteen local non-profit organizations in Puerto Rico will be expanding their environmental conservation efforts this year after being awarded a total of $40,000 by Ford Motor Company’s Environmental Grants Program.
As part of its institutional program, “One with the Environment” FirstBank will be selling a DVD entitled “Sow and Conserve with FirstBank” to benefit Amigos de El Yunque, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about the importance of protecting and preserving that rainforest, considered a natural treasure.
Looking to show its commitment to environmental protection, Garnier recently acknowledged the work of a group of students from specialized high schools in Puerto Rico that participated in the “Ambientando con Garnier Green Team” competition.
