Online travel company Expedia Inc. revealed data Wednesday showing demand for travel to Puerto Rico on more than 140 of its sites worldwide grew 40 percent during the third quarter of 2012, compared to the previous year.
Bookings to Puerto Rico made on the more than 100 Expedia and Hotels.com sites worldwide grew by 28 percent in the first six months of 2012, compared to the same period last year, the online travel company confirmed Tuesday.
The number of tourists selecting Puerto Rico as the destination they want to visit has grown steadily this year, according to statistics from Expedia, Inc., the world’s largest online travel company, which operates more than 100 Expedia and Hotels.com-branded sites globally.
