jetBlue announced during its first quarter earnings call that its operation in Puerto Rico will reach its pre-Hurricane María levels this summer.
Saying the airport is operating at limited capacity, Luis Muñoz Marín Airport and government officials urged passengers with confirmed flights to go to the airport, which has a significant backlog of traffic in the wake of Hurricane María.
While the assessment of the impact Hurricane Irma had across the island continues, the Puerto Rico Tourism Company’s preliminary report showed that major tourism infrastructure and attractions are “operational and the island can continue to welcome new visitors.”
