In its quest to assist entrepreneurs parlay their ideas into successful businesses, Grupo Guayacán has teamed up with the Georgia Institute of Technology for “I-Corps Puerto Rico,” a program offering mentorship and training over the next five weekends.
Looking to develop an institute dedicated to promote, strengthen and encourage scientific and technological drivers to fuel local economic development, the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust in conjunction with the Georgia Tech Technology Institute will offer a workshop on research governance and management.
The Science, Research and Technology Trust is set to sign an agreement with the Georgia Institute of Technology to establish the Puerto Rico Institute for Research and Economic Development, to facilitate collaboration between industry and academia to promote research and development of marketable technologies, Economic Development and Commerce Secretary José Pérez-Riera said Thursday.
