A pair of recent fundraising efforts by Scotiabank employees and clients have benefited a trio of important nonprofits helping muscular dystrophy patients and looking after Puerto Rico’s youth.
The 5th edition of the Puerto Rico Open taking place in Río Grande through Sunday will generate some significant “greens” for the island, estimated at more than $4.7 million in direct benefits and more than $22 million in indirect economic activity, Tourism Company Executive Director Mario González-Lafuente said during a news conference Tuesday.
Dorado Beach Resort and Club, a 72-hole premier destination resort in Puerto Rico, announced today that the East Course is open for play after undergoing a $6.2 million, 18-month renovation project of all 18 holes.
