Agricultural Under Secretary Lisa Mensah announced Monday that $5.8 million nationwide in competitive funding is available to help start, improve or expand cooperative businesses in rural areas.
The Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust presented the five scientist winners of the Small Research Grants Program, an initiative through which funds are awarded to help them position their respective research and development proposals in a more competitive realm, prior to being submitted for consideration by federal and private agencies.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development is accepting applications for its Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Program, which provides increased access to education, training and health care resources in rural areas, Under Secretary Lisa Mensah said Monday.
