Tourism destinations need to “move forward and do things differently,” including relying on the so-called “sharing economy” as a key driver of doing business, Meet Puerto Rico President Milton Segarra said Wednesday, during the Destination Marketing Organization’s (DMO) annual meeting.

EPA launches ‘Caribbean Coral Reef Protection’ group

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced it has formed an inter-agency effort to protect coral reefs off the shores of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Caribbean Coral Reef Protection Group, which will consist of the EPA and other government agencies, will coordinate efforts to protect coral reefs.
