The United Group of Automobile Importers announced Wednesday that car sales in Puerto Rico were up 9.1 percent year-over-year in February, driven primarily by fleet sales.
The United Group of Automobile Importers predicted Wednesday that this year’s car sales will range from 82,000 to 84,000 units, a slight drop from 2016’s results.
Puerto Rico new car sales dropped sharply year-over-year in October, when the industry sold 10 percent fewer units, the United Automobile Importers Group (known as GUIA by its Spanish acronym), said Thursday.
