Puerto Rico’s new car sales remained on the positive side for the fourth straight month in July, when 6,644 units were sold, reflecting a 17.4 percent year-over-year increase, the United Automobile Importers Group (known as GUIA by its Spanish acronym), said Monday.
Puerto Rico new auto sales held on to positive results for the second consecutive month in May, when some 6,828 units were sold, representing a 4.3 percent growth, the United Automobile Importers Group (known as GUIA by its Spanish acronym) informed Tuesday.
The United Group of Automobile Importers, an organization that represents the Puerto Rico automobile industry, predicted Tuesday that this some 77,000 new cars will be sold this year on the island, marking the third consecutive year of decreased activity.
