Best Western International plans to strengthen its North American and Caribbean reach with nearly 120 properties to either be constructed or converted this year, company officials said Tuesday. More than 80 percent of these hotels expected to fly the Best Western Premier or Best Western Plus flags.
In a few months, when Casa Sol opens its doors as Old San Juan's first Bed & Breakfast, it will join a growing list of small hostelries in the old city that are benefiting from increased tourist demand for cozy alternatives to traditional, large hotels.
SB Architects, with offices in California and Florida, announced the completion of its latest resort project, the Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve. This is the third luxury property it has been involved with in Puerto Rico, in addition to the Bahia Beach Golf Resort in Río Grande and the Ritz-Carlton San Juan.
