Red Cross receives $300K donation from Glaxo PR

The Puerto Rico Chapter of the American Red Cross announced it has received a $300,000 donation from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to support its relief and recovery efforts directed to those impacted by hurricane María in Puerto Rico.

NGO’s work together to provide water to communities

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are supporting more than 89,000 total residents in 237 communities all across Puerto Rico that rely on water sources from pumps and wells for their drinking water, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said.

NYU to take 50 students from PR for spring semester

NYU President Andrew Hamilton announced that the college would admit a special cohort of undergraduate students currently enrolled in Puerto Rican colleges whose education was disrupted by the hurricanes that hit the island in September.
