While Puerto Rico’s competitive capacity depends mostly on its capacity to innovate, the island faces great challenges in education and infrastructure — areas that require immediate attention to position it favorably against other global economies.
As part of its commitment to transform education through the integration of technology into the teaching and learning process, Microsoft Puerto Rico will sponsor the 2nd “Innovative Teachers Forum” in Puerto Rico, an event slated for May 29th that is expected to draw more than 200 K-12 teachers from public and private education systems interested in developing innovative projects in the classroom.
Puerto Rico’s current economy is smaller and less populated than when many of its legal and government structures were effected, making it necessary to refocus development policies to be able to move forward.
