Puerto Rico’s bankruptcy levels remained flat last month, when the total number of companies and individuals who turned to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for help was up by two cases when compared to the same month in 2015.
Puerto Rico’s economic activity registered a year-over-year decrease of 0.4 percent, and a month-over-month reduction of 0.3 percent, according to the latest index released by the Government Development Bank Thursday.
Bankruptcy cases filed in Puerto Rico for the month of June were down 9 percent when compared to the same month last year, a preliminary tally from Boletín de Puerto Rico released Tuesday showed.
