Delta Air Lines is marking its 60th anniversary of uninterrupted service in Puerto Rico, highlighting the key role the island plays in the continued growth and development of the company's Latin American network and in the New York market.
Reaffirming its commitment to Puerto Rico, JetBlue Airways announced today new direct service from San Juan to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport starting Nov. 20. The decision reflects the island’s largest carrier’s approval of the result of the process leading up to the selection of the new administrator of Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, the company said.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), one half of the Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC consortium that won the bid to take over the management and operation of the Luis Muñoz Marín Airport in Puerto Rico, said Wednesday it has obtained the necessary 139 certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration, and is ready to start modernizing the airport.
