Puerto Rican mobile service provider Open Mobile has signed a multi-year agreement to renew existing services and to add services provided by Florida-based to better serve their LTE customers.
Wireless carrier AT&T announced Monday it has added extra capacity to 28 cell sites in St. Thomas and St. Croix; upgraded five sites in St. John, St. Thomas and St. Croix with LTE technology; and activated a new cell site in St. Thomas in its ongoing efforts to enhance the wireless capacity and coverage of its mobile Internet network available in the neighboring island chain.
Telecommunications provider Claro Puerto Rico announced Monday the expansion of its 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network to nine more municipalities in Puerto Rico, totaling 18 new additions in just seven weeks.
