Puerto Rico government agencies and big companies from the private sector are rallying to help people with disabilities through a two-fold initiative backed by the Family Department.
ONEVO LLC, a Miami-based manufacturer of insulated panels for concrete walls-floors-roofs and housing systems, is looking to open “one or more” plants in Puerto Rico that could potentially create 4,800 direct and indirect jobs.
New governor, same announcement. During the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association’s annual convention this weekend, Gov. Alejandro García-Padilla signed an executive creating a manufacturing advisory council that resembles one endorsed in 2011 by his predecessor, former Gov. Luis Fortuño.
