Shoe manufacturer Lifestyle Footwear in Moca has invested $2.1 million to improve its plant and will add 182 new jobs to its payroll after securing a new contract from the U.S. Department of Defense, company and government officials announced Tuesday.

5 towns split $405K in USDA grants

The towns of Moca, Manatí, Jayuya, Canóvanas and Barceloneta have been assigned a combined $405,312 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to make critical repairs and improve housing conditions for low- and very-low-income rural residents.
