The Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Ajit Pai, recently unveiled his plan to eliminate Obama-era “Net Neutrality” rules.
The effects of the recently approved “net neutrality” will have on Puerto Rico’s telecommunications industry are still uncertain, because the public and private sectors are holding off until the official order is released to either celebrate or voice their opposition, this media outlet learned.
A little over two weeks ago, the DC Circuit court vacated the Federal Communications Commission’s Open Internet rules stating that "even though the commission has general authority to regulate in this arena, it may not impose requirements that contravene express statutory mandates."
