Pharmaceutical company Actavis plc, based in Ireland, announced Tuesday it has completed the acquisition of Warner Chilcott plc in a stock-for-stock transaction valued at approximately $8.5 billion. Warner Chilcott has a plant in Fajardo.
Pharma-Bio Serv., a global compliance and validation services consulting solutions provider based in Dorado, announced net revenues for the three and six months ended April 30, 2013 of $8.3 and $15.9 million, an increase of approximately $1.2 and $2.5 million, or 17 percent and 18 percent, respectively, when compared to the same periods last year.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Company today broke ground on a $200 million expansion of its facility in Humacao to add manufacturing capacity that will prepare the plant for the production of additional medicines. The project is expected to create 100 full-time jobs at the facility over time.
