Criticism to the bill proposing amendments to Puerto Rico’s sales and use tax code poured in Thursday from many of the island’s most prominent professional organizations, which essentially agreed that eliminating certain exemptions would have a “devastating” effect on businesses and consumers.
Oriental Bank received the “Excellence in Quality Banking Award” from the Puerto Rico Products Association last weekend, for supporting local entrepreneurship and for its outstanding contribution to the local economy.
With a varied representation of products and services from Puerto Rican companies this weekend, the Puerto Rico Products Association will confer its Awards for Excellence in Quality, reaffirming the importance of supporting and recognizing local entrepreneurs, the trade group said Tuesday.
