Nonprofit agrotourism organization Visit Rico and the La Concha Hotel will host City Winery for the first corporate “voluntourism” event to be held in Puerto Rico Jan. 30-31 to help rebuild agro-ecological farms affected by Hurricane María.
Reactions from the public and private sector poured in Thursday on the Revised Fiscal Plans for the government of Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority and the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority presented to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico for certification.
The new president of the Associated General Contractors, Puerto Rico Chapter, Stephen Spears, said Thursday in his inaugural speech that the trade group will “vigorously defend” the use of local contractors, sub-contractors and local suppliers to maximize opportunities created by Hurricane María’s devastation.
