WASHINGTON — In the past 12 months, it’s become fashionable to equate Puerto Rico’s fiscal meltdown with the recent Greek tragedy in which a proud nation of 11 million inhabitants nearly got kicked out of the 28-member European Union.
The research for new diagnostic methods and therapy for endometriosis, the development of genetic tools to assist in the preservation of the bees and new methods to mitigate problems of coastal erosion are some of the projects of the new group of Grantees of the Science & Technology Grants Program, of the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust.
