Puma Energy’s Puerto Rico operations have received the “Top Tier Detergent Gasoline” designation, the highest fuel performance standard, becoming the first and only local brand of gasoline to earn that distinction.
In response to an avid response from consumers and gasoline retailers, Puma Energy Caribe, LLC. announced Thursday it will offer gasoline with ethanol in more than 270 service stations across Puerto Rico.
Puma Energy officials announced Tuesday plans to implement the “Puma-e” initiative, a pilot program through which it will make available an eco-friendly, gasoline-ethanol blend fuel at 56 of its 235 gas stations in Puerto Rico.
Six months after announcing its acquisition of Chevron’s fuel marketing and aviation businesses in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands for an undisclosed amount, Puma Energy confirmed Tuesday it has wrapped the transaction.
