The pristine, white-powdered sands and turquoise waters of Flamenco Beach — on Puerto Rico's island municipality of Culebra — have earned it a fifth place ranking among the world’s top 10 beaches included in Trip Advisor’s “2013 Travelers’ Choice Beaches Awards.”
Puerto Rico is the best place in Latin America and the Caribbean to start a business and gain access to credit and is outranked only by Chile in the overall ease of doing business, according to the “Doing Business 2013: Smarter Regulations for Small and Medium-Size Enterprises” report released Tuesday by the IFC and World Bank.
For the fifth consecutive year, Scotiabank has been included in the Great Place to Work Institute's list of “Best Companies to Work For in Central America and the Caribbean,” for its operations in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Panama, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
