Sprint will begin offering international Wi-Fi calling back to the United States at no additional cost starting with an over-the-air software update to Samsung Galaxy S 4 with Sprint Spark, rolling out now, the company announced Thursday.
It took Sprint about two years and $60 million dollars to complete, but on Wednesday the wireless carrier announced the availability of its next-generation 4G LTE network throughout Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Sprint Nextel confirmed Monday it has received an unsolicited proposal from DISH Network to acquire the company for $25.5 billion, saying “its Board of Directors will evaluate this proposal carefully and consistent with its fiduciary and legal duties.”
