The Federal Emergency Management Agency approved the extension of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers mission assignment for emergency power restoration in Puerto Rico.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Temporary Emergency Power mission in Puerto Rico installed the 2000th power generator on Mar. 31, 2018, the agency announced.
Six months after Hurricane María made landfall, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers “remains committed to safely and urgently restoring reliable power and returning normalcy to the U.S. citizens of Puerto Rico as quickly as possible,” the agency said on the half anniversary of the storm.
