The U.S. Department of Agriculture is making up to $44 million available to farmers, ranchers and businesses to develop new bio-based products and expand markets through the Value-Added Producer Grant program.
Agricultural Under Secretary Lisa Mensah announced Monday that $5.8 million nationwide in competitive funding is available to help start, improve or expand cooperative businesses in rural areas.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program is accepting applications for funding under its Renewable Energy for America Program through May 2, 2016, José Otero-García, the agency’s state director for Puerto Rico, said Tuesday.
