The ICON reaches new milestone in Condado construction

The ICON project’s executives gather on the rooftop in Condado to mark the completion of the building’s top floor.

The ICON, a boutique residential development rising in the heart of Condado, has reached a key milestone with the completion of its top floor, marking significant progress in the $65 million project led by developer RioBlanco Capital.

The building is described by the developers as one of Puerto Rico’s most architecturally distinctive residential ventures, contributing to the area’s ongoing urban redevelopment.

“The market response has been extraordinary,” said Gabriel Jiménez, co-owner of RioBlanco Capital. “We’re very pleased to see how The ICON continues to establish itself as a unique residential offering, contributing to the transformation of Condado and the revitalization of its surroundings.”

Eighty percent of The ICON’s 32 units have been sold, reflecting the strength of Puerto Rico’s high-end housing market. The project features three- and four-bedroom apartments with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Condado’s cityscape.

“The ICON achieves a balance between urban vibrancy and residential tranquility, combining the dynamism of the city with the comfort of a space designed for everyday enjoyment,” said Blanca López-Pierluisi, founder of Corcoran Puerto Rico, which manages the project’s sales.

The development currently employs about 100 construction workers and has begun installing hurricane-resistant windows supplied by Puerto Rican manufacturer Air Masters. Upcoming phases include Italian Molteni kitchens that buyers will be able to personalize with custom finishes.

Located at 1120 Ashford Ave., The ICON will feature a rooftop infinity pool, gym, business lounge, outdoor kitchen and concierge service. Completion and delivery of the residences are scheduled for fall 2026.
