Titín Foundation launches CUENTAx2 with $100K fund

The Titín Foundation has launched the fourth edition of its CUENTAx2 matching funds campaign, pledging $100,000 to support 20 nonprofit organizations across Puerto Rico.
Each nonprofit is eligible to receive up to $5,000 in matched donations during the fundraising period, which runs from Sept. 24 to Oct. 8 through SINFINESPR.org.
“In Puerto Rico, nonprofit organizations are a vital part of our social fabric,” said Sofía Martínez-Álvarez, the foundation’s executive director. “They are often on the front lines, supporting our communities and serving as key allies to the public. Yet, many of them struggle to secure the funding needed to sustain their service programs. CUENTAx2 provides unrestricted funds that help these organizations keep their operations afloat.”
Donors can participate by visiting SINFINESPR.org, searching for the profile of the organization they want to support and contributing directly through PayPal. The nonprofits include cultural and educational groups as well as social service providers, among them Orfeón San Juan Bautista, Teatro Público, Fundación Puertorriqueña del Riñón, Centros Sor Isolina Ferré, Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico and the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico.
As part of the campaign, participating nonprofits will receive promotional materials and training workshops on communication and fundraising strategies. Since its founding in 2014, the Titín Foundation has worked to strengthen Puerto Rico’s nonprofit sector, honoring the philanthropic legacy of Luis Felipe Segarra, known as Titín.
